WHO WE ARE
Our core values as a student ministry are Gospel, Community, and Mission.

GOSPEL
We believe that all humanity stands under the wrath of God because of our sin, but that God sent His Son Jesus as the Substitute for those who believe in Him by taking the punishment for our sin on the Cross, and rising from the dead. In His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus has done for us what we could never do for ourselves by reconciling us to God.

COMMUNITY
Through the finished work of Jesus, God not only reconciled us to Himself, but also to one another as the family of God. As Christians, God calls us to live in community with one another. Our desire is for our ministry to be a place where students belong to the people of God, believe in the Word of God, and become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

MISSION
God has not only given us a a community to belong to, but also a cause to give our lives to. We believe that every Christian is called to be an ambassador of Jesus Christ by proclaiming the gospel with our lips and promoting the gospel with our lives.
WHAT WE DO
From weekly ministry to frequent events, we seek to help students develop lasting friendships with one another as they grow closer to the Lord.

SUNDAY MORNINGS
Students meet from 9:00 to 10:00AM in the Youth Room (Room 300 in the Education Building) on Sunday mornings to hangout, enjoy fellowship, and hear Biblical teaching on the Essential Doctrines of the Christian Faith.

SUNDAY EVENINGS
Students meet from 6:00 to 7:30PM in the Youth Room on Sunday evenings to enjoy a relaxed environment and hear expositional Bible teaching intended to challenge, encourage, and equip them to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

UPCOMING EVENTS
180 Weekend
Hosted by Parkwood Baptist Church
Gastonia, North Carolina

180 Weekend is an exciting weekend, tentatively April 23-24, that includes large-group worship services, small-group bible studies, and lots of time with friends.  Our desire is to see students grow closer with the Lord and with one another through this discipleship event.

The theme of this year’s 180 Weekend is Redefined. Apart from Christ, there’s a thousand different ways we try to define ourselves: by our race, gender, sexuality, friend group, reputation, etc. But none of those is a lasting identity. We need someone to come from outside ourselves and grant us an identity that can’t be lost or taken away. Enter Jesus: through faith in his finished work—his life, death, and resurrection—we receive a new identity, a new “definition” of ourselves that changes everything about us. Join us for a weekend of exploring that new identity and what it means for those that follow Jesus.
